Impart Security is pleased to announce another innovative API runtime protection enhancement: Response Body Inspections, which empowers security teams to implement practical data loss prevention policies in production using Impart’s API Firewall. Now security teams can protect their most sensitive data and confidently verify whether sensitive data has been exfiltrated.
One of our customers’ top requests has been the desire to inspect response bodies for sensitive data, particularly in scenarios where an attack is suspected. However, unlike with our API Firewall, traditional runtime solutions like a Web Application Firewall (WAF) are designed to inspect inbound request traffic, and therefore cannot intelligently inspect outbound response traffic and response bodies without compromising performance.
With Impart’s API Firewall, security teams can now easily define response body rules that inspect, block, and rate limit API responses, while also managing dependencies in a graph of conditional detections, ensuring rules only run when needed to optimize performance. Response Body Inspections can be quickly defined and executed using Impart’s collection of rule templates and with our pro-code editor.
